Final 32 teams advance to Sunday. The teams will be placed in groups of four with the other teams from their half of the quarter. There will be eight groups of four teams. The top two teams in each group advance to the round of 16. Starting in the Round of 16, traditional bracket play.

Format:
Teams: Minimum of three people on a team (no player may throw more than two batons during each turn).

Saturday Group Play: Each team will play round-robin matches in their group. All matches will be two games using a kubb count scoring system: Kubb = 1 point and King = 2 points. If more than 128 teams are registered, some groups will have five teams. If more than 160 teams, some groups will have six teams. Matches will have a 45 minute time-limit. Ties in group play will be decided by the following tiebreakers: First tiebreaker is head-to-head points. Second tiebreaker, if head-to-head points are the same, if a team completed a game win and the other did not. Third tiebreaker is a throw-off. Throw-offs will consist of each team inkasting three kubbs and hitting as many field kubbs and baseline kubbs as possible with six batons. The team that knocks down the most kubbs wins the tiebreaker. If teams are tied after the first round, one additional kubb will be added to the inkasting for each additional round. At no time during the Championship are players allowed to practice on other pitches during their matches.

Saturday Playoffs: More coming soon. All teams advance to the playoffs. Best-of-three matches to start (kubb count is not used). Playoffs will start at approximately 1pm. The final 32 teams in the Championship Bracket will return Sunday morning. There is a 45 minute time limit for Silver and Bronze bracket matches. Medals and podium prize bags will be given out to the top four teams in Silver and Bronze brackets. Podium bags will be given to the top four teams in the Poplar Bracket.

Sunday Playoffs: The four remaining teams in each half-quarter of the Championship Bracket will play against each other (eight groups of four teams each). Matches will be best-of-three. Each match will have a 1 hour and 30 minute time limit. Matches #2 and #3 can start when all four teams are ready. The top two teams in each of the eight groups will advance to the Round of 16. The third place team in each group will finish Tied for 17th. The fourth place team in each group will finish Tied for 25th. Ties in group play will be decided by the following tiebreakers: First tiebreaker is games won. Second tiebreaker is a throw-off. Throw-offs will be the same as described above. Round of 16 will start after the Group Play. Round of 16 and Quarterfinals will have two hour time-limits. Semi-finals and Final will have no time limit. Final and Bronze Medal match begin immediately after the semifinals. The Bronze Medal match is best-of-one.

Team Placement:
American: Top 32 teams from 2026 will be divided in the four quarters of the Championship. The four teams that finished tied for 5th, 9th, and 13th will be randomly placed in opposite ends of each quarter. Each quarter will have a team that finished in the top four and T-5, T-9, T-13, and up to four T-17 teams. None of these teams will be placed in the same group of four. To get this placement, teams will be required to have at least two of the same players from 2025.

International: Depending on the number of International teams attending, the top 16 International teams will also be randomly divided in the four quarters. We will work with kubb associations/federations to determine these teams. The top 16 International teams will not be placed in groups with the top 16 American teams. The top 16 International teams will be placed randomly in groups with the T-17 American teams. If there are more than 16 International teams, those teams will be randomly placed in groups that have top 16 American teams, starting with the teams that finished T-13.

Playoffs: The tournament will have a Championship Bracket, Silver Bracket, Bronze Bracket, and Poplar Bracket. The brackets will have a prize ceremony, and medals and podium bags will be given out to the top four teams in each bracket. The Champion will have their team name and player names put on The Stapp King. The Silver Bracket winner will have their team name and city put on the Silver Bracket trophy. The Sunday player that is the best kubb inkastare (kubb thrower) in the Cage (semifinals) will win the Bästa Inkastare trophy.
